Air Fryer Jerk Chicken Wings
Air fryers have a grip on the world like Oprah in the 90’s. But honestly, who can blame us? Air fryers have provided a safe and quick way for us to cook and fry our hearts out without having worry about starting a grease fire.
I finally joined the air fryer gang this past year. (Yes there is a gang, we meet every Saturday morning at the local Costco to judge the free sample items we will never buy.) I wanted to try one of my favorite chicken wing recipes, Jerk Chicken Wings. I have always made these in the oven, however I wanted to achieve a certain level of crispiness that can only happen by frying them. After testing them out in the air fryer, I was not disappointed! Now I will note that my air fryer is smaller, so I had to do my wings in 2 batches. My air fryer goes up to 400 degrees, which is what I cooked these wings at. Easy Air Fryer Jerk Chick Wings
Makes 11-14 chicken wings
Ingredients:
4 Tablespoons of Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
2 Tablespoons of Adobo
2 Tablespoons of Garlic Powder
2 Tablespoons of Onion Powder
2 Tablespoons of Black Pepper
Chicken Wings (makes 11-14 wings)
1 Teaspoons of Olive Oil
Instructions:
Clean chicken wings and pat dry.
Use olive oil to coat dry wings by massaging the oil into the chicken. Doing this will allow for the seasoning to stick on better and add an additional crunch.
Once wings are coated with olive oil, add all seasonings and again massage seasonings into the wings until they are completely and evenly coated.
Use nonstick spray to coat the basket of air fryer and place wings in the air fryer with enough space so that they can evenly cook. Depending on the size of your basket you may have to do in multiple batches.
Set your air fryer to 400 degrees and set timer for 20 minutes. Rotate wings halfway through to ensure they are thoroughly cooked.
Enjoy!
